Think it was something to do with FFRR drivers thinking there above the law and not wearing a seatbelt. .... Or maybe it was just because they drove past him and he had his nose in the air like he was better than everybody else because he had a FFRR... Whistle

(athough id like to add I always wore my seat belt when i had mine and not the Censored attitude most FFRR have, a few owners who are on here are exempt from the above) Smile

Iirc when this video came about, he had actually been stopped and proceeded to drive off from the police, (maybe even causing one to dive out of the way) which led to what you see in the clip,

same course of action you would see if it was a chav that had driven off, failed to stop etc etc

I have to say the idiot got everything he deserves and I would have done exactly the same, come to think about it I have on similar occassions following a 'fail to stop'.
If the driver has refused to get out of a locked car.....smashing the window to get the keys is the only option, the driver could have been drunk and simply a later fatal acciddent just waiting to happen to some poor pedestrian that got in his way.
I suspect it looks worse because the windows most likely have a window film applied so they don't smash after a single strike.

Failing to stop is quite a good reason for the police to become a little aggrevated

Yeah the guy sounds a bit simple ... escort home??? But in my eyes that force was completely excessive. Don't like American policing & that's exactly what it looked like.

Having read the newspaper report i think the guy got what he deserved, sounds like a lame excuse.

If that is his frame of mind then surely he is not fit to be behind the wheel.

Out of interest, how would you stop him driving off again with 2 1/2+ tonnes of metal if he had decided to do so.... stand in front of his car and say PLEASE Rolling with laughter

Your probably right Daz, but I've been on the receiving end of traffic police a few times (never to the extent of the above video) and every time they have me down as guilty until I prove otherwise. Because I'm young & have a half decent car they pull me just because they can ...

But I cant help thinking a warning, perhaps "sir you if you don't step out of the car I will be forced to break the window" ? The guy was 70 hardly a threat.

Like most, I have been stopped for no apparent reason when driving a “nice” car and yes they do display a lack of manners, guess it's all to do with their upbringing, or maybe just simple Jealousy. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Looks a little excessive, the multiple blows to the side window will be because it is an acoustic laminated window.

The policeman standing on the bonnet and kicking the windscreen looked to be using 'appropriate force' - my a Censored e
