2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey
RRS 2006 passenger door no longer locks

My rear left passenger door no longer locks from the inside or out, as a result anyone can open my car door (although the alarm will go off)

I took it to the dealer and they said it was a broken latch and would cost 700 to fix. The part probably cost $20-$40 so I'm going to try to do it myself.

Does anyone have any advice on on taking the door panel off?

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

Try this link from the disco site

I also found on mine that changing the key fob from opening a single door to opening all somehow gave more power and fixed my rear door not opening so I didn't need to replace my lock.

Hope this helps

Pat

P.S. Also as a short term fix I found my door lock still operated if I stretched and pressed the central console button on the front dash and pushed the little black lever on the door at the same time so maybe you can get it to be permanently locked rather than open Whistle 2011 Autobiography Santorini Black
