Replacing Low Beam Halogens with HIDs

My RRS does not have Bi Xenons and has halogens all round - the lights are terrible so I want to change to 5000K HIDs all round. High beams are straight forward however I am not so sure about low beams.

I am not sure whether to just replace with normal HIDs or the shielded HR7s. Normal HIDs should work but I am not sure.

So has anyone replaced their halogen low beams with HIDs and did you use shielded or unshielded HIDs?

Thanks

I bought a set of Bi Xenons from ebay and swopped over both headlights (they just unclip, very easy) I then sold the halogens on ebay and the whole change over cost me just £65.00. Thumbs Up

Thanks - had a look on ebay and the majority are H4 kits - there are a couple of H7s there but they are a kit to replace the entire light.

Cheers
