Can anyone suggest a product that brings the tyres out shiny as they do in the garages? RRS

Give them a good scrub with all purpose cleaner, when dry a coat of tire shine, various brands our there auto glym, megiuers I have tried a few but if you put too much on it slings itself on to the paint or it washes off in the first puddle you see

Best I have found is gloss-it signature tyre gloss but at £20 it's expensive but last

A clean tyre before application I'd say is the most important thing for it lasting longer which ever product you use

Poorboys do a tyre shine, Natural Look..about £10. First application fives a rich black finish, and a second one makes it glossy. No fling if left to dry for an hour, and lasts about 2 weeks.....good product

Current weapon of choice is Meguiars High Endurance Tyre Gel

Cheap,easy to pick up and is really wet looking,just dont spray it on as it does fling,I just spray onto a sponge and wipe on.

MrF, I've used this stuff, looks great but flings like he'll and leaves a very very oily residue on the paint.....and then the brake dust sticks to the alloys....

Look at carpro P erl it gets a good write up on DW

Clean tyres with Swift cleaner leave on costs £14 a gallon lasts 5 years , great for trims, mudflaps. rubber seals and internal plastics 2014 5.0SC AB

Hmm I find tat no matter how well I rub in the maguires tyre gel. I still seem to get the fling effect ! I wonder if you dont really notice it on a dark car  

Megs always flings, no matter what. Looks great, but better water based solutions out there. I will post up a link from DW that shows a group test.......it's lunchtime here and not much to do!!

so did I foxy, thats why i got rid of it made i right mess of the white paint

The Gloss-it tyre stuff i use, I apply via a sponge scourer, which i spray on the sponge and wipe it round, I also keep the sponge in a sealed bag, that way it doesn't dry out and i use less product

I do the same mate.......the water based milky solutions tend to work best although they don't look like much, they stay on longer and last for at least two weeks....now that's enough about my sex life, and back to Tyres!
