Oliver - TBH normal insurance will be very expensive. From what I know (which isn't much) some insurance companies offer a 'little black box' option which monitors your driving (speed etc) and refunds you if you drive better than their set criteria. Others may come up with companies that do this.

The little black box is a waste of time, maximum saving is 10% but if you drive bad it puts upto 20% on the premium!! Oliver if you get insured on your own I am not exaggerating when I say you will be looking at upto £7K per year for insurance! I got my first RRS when I was 24 with 7 years experience and it was about £3K.............now I am 28 it is a lot less but with a high excess. Can you not get it in your parents name and be a named driver? Or if you have a company fleet policy it is normally best to add it to that...... Opt for a high excess though in any case |

Which company? They all change the type of driver they want month from month. Use the normal price comparison sites to get some idea. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

i don't think 19 in a RRS A/B without NCB will get reasonable quotes to be honest, car insurance premium rising is hot topics on the news, so are over inflated young drivers policy

you should ask the poster of this subject "eazy" - I think he says he's 20 and insurance about £1500.

Be careful of being a named driver on your parent's policy. This is not allowed if you are the main driver of the car and the insurance company will use this to get out of paying out on a claim. 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic, Corris Grey with contrast Santorini Black Panoramic Roof, lunar interior, privacy glass, upgraded Meridian system, cooled 18 way front seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive xenons, large screen wash bottle.

Im 19 and with axa fleet, ive got a 09 2.7, they were only insurance company to accept me and really didnt want too (they were kind of bullied into it by alowing them to carry on insuring our properties, and ive got a 2.5k excess !) i did enquire about a 3.6 and they stuck their fingers up! good luck - definately op for fleet policy if you can! or go to a specialist that focuses on nice cars! try carol nash i think they do cars but they helped me out insuring my GSXR600 earlier this year - now gone (death machine) but were very reasonable at 1k compared to the 5k quotes elsewere - give them a try |
