Unfortunately I left it a little late before deciding to go and for anything like a decent hotel it was £1500 for the 3 nights so I'm having to slum it a little,hasn't got either a bar or a restaurant but shouldn't matter too much as I won't actually be in it for any length of time,out at about 7.30am and back in normally about 2pm so as long as the beds OK that's the main thing. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Chris that hotel was great I went to and it was bad price wise, bout £150 a night from memory, as you say, if there on business as long as the bed's ok and it has wifi, the rest isnt so important

I had a great time but was told never a hail a taxi alway order one from where your staying.

Thank for the heads up about the taxis guys and for anyone else reading I can confirm its true last time we went ,we "agreed" a fare from the square to the conference centre which was only 5km away and the rate we agreed turned out to be the rate per Kilometre and so we ended up paying about 5 times what we thought we had agreed,he was very aggressive when we questioned it and paid up under duress. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I also suffered with taxis, I went with some mates first time and we had heard that we should always agree a fare......they try to just say "on the meter" but if yo insist its ok................then we forgot to agree a fare one night back to the hotel (a bit drunk) the fare was 10 times what it had been the previous night and as ChrisP says he was VERY aggressive grabbing hold of us, and shouting all sorts in our faces, we also paid reluctantly once he threatened to shoot us sufficiently! (although I never saw a gun it doesnt mean he didnt have one)

I heard the fare and gun thing from a friend of mine who was there a couple of years ago, one of them did get to see the gun, and needless to say then paid the very high fare. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Well when I get to Prague it's city centre hotel with no taxis required, can't be doing with extortion, it was bad enough in eygpt when I had to haggle away with the robbing

Like Johnny says the UPrince is great. Really nice rooms superb views from the rooftop resteraunt and central location with an affordable price. Couldnt recomend that place highly enough and as you say does away with the need for taxis. RRS TDV8 (loving it)
