Have booked up for the Monaco GP for 2012 with Senate Grand Prix. Any tips from seasoned Monaco GP travellers?

A mate at work was there last year and had seating at the swimming pool area of the track, said they were crammed in like sardines for the best part of 3 hours so I would suggest any kind of upgrade for comfort that can be had on the Sunday I would go for. RRS TDV8 (loving it)

that is exactly where I will be watching the GP . So that meets the comfort and not crammed in part just need to ensure the evening entertainment is sorted (and it isnt currently). I did read the stringfellows have their own evening entertainment - not sure the missus would approve though! |

Tony, try and get seats opposite the Casino, meaning the Hotel de Paris would be on your right and the Cafe de Paris on your left. Basically you would see the cars coming in and around the Casino and down to the Avenue des Spelugues (Metropole on the left) towards the Fairmont Hotel (used to be the Loews Hotel).

Ive been a couple of times, but usually driven down, and stopped in Menton, or St-Laurent du Var and once when i was touring, There is an excellent train service to Monaco. obviously the best seats are on a yacht or Hotel de Paris, but it is very busy at most locations. You see the most on the qualifyer due to it been alot quieter. If you drive, you can go round the track ofter the Grand prix, an excellent place to visit even if the GP is not on.
