2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Galway Green
Ban me? Gone to the dark side...

I took delivery of this a couple of weeks ago and I thought I'd post some pics. Its an X5 xDrive30d M Sport. Very happy with it overall. Its a very different car to the RRS, some bits better some worse. I do miss some of the standard kit the RRS had though like the HK sound system, keyless entry, fridge etc.

The Media kit is very good. It has a 12Gb hard disk for music (seems to accept any format), plays DVD's, integrates really well with my blackberry displaying incoming emails, text messages etc on screen.

You can tell its based on an older generation of car than the new 5 series I had for a few months before this. That had some really neat features which BMW hasn't put into their other cars yet.

I do like the alloys with the polished and anthracite finish.

Thumbs Up very nice car. IMO engines are definitely better in BMW. Was my second choice when I was thinking about a new car. But for time being I will stick to RRS Smile My name: Patryk

Looks nice! But I bet you'll be back in a Range Rover soon. Bought one for the wife last December to replace my RRS and I'm bored of it. Blander than a slice of toast IMO. Looks good though Thumbs Up

The 530d Touring I've been driving for 4 months, now that was boring! At least this is slightly better.

I don't claim its a better car than the Sport, I love Sports, particularly the TDV8 I had and I did look at different options for either getting back in another 2010 TDV8 or a new TDV6 but this worked out the better deal and I was able to get it instantly. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Our X6 is coming the week after next it will be great to compare the 2 side by side,I think the toys are better in the Beemers especially the Sat Nav and music interfaces and they go faster on road.
Dread to think what its going to be like parking it with no rear camera, good job I trained in Gynae Rolling with laughter
I'm particulary looking forward to going down motorway slip roads at 90mph,across the hashings before the end and straight out into the BMW Tossers Only Lane Rolling with laughter MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I am finally getting over the loss of my RRS. And sorry to say this, it's so frickin common in London, as much as it is a great car, I am glad I am rid of it.

The BMW is so beautifully made and never puts a foot wrong....

Sorry to post it on here, but BMW do some good cars.....

+1

I think it looks smart and practical. Unfortunately the RRS has become the ultimate 'modders' car in London. 2006 '56 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java Black, Alpaca Interior, PTI, Sidesteps, 22" Stormers wrapped in 285/35/22 Toyo Proxes, Java Framed SC Grille, Java/Zambezi Side Vents, Matt Black LR3 Door Handles, Matt Black Lower Tailgate Trim, Colour coded lower body trims, Semi Smoked Taillights, Chrome Mirrors and Fog Light Bezels, Reflex Exhaust Back, Full Pentagon AutoGlass Privacy, Tasmod Sills, Clear Side Repeaters, pics in gallery!

Having previously had a M3 (2000) M5 (2005) X5 (2005) 7 FO1(2008)

I have to say that i still think BMW are the biggest pile of Sheep Censored

Ive never had such a car that is boring and bland. I know many of you , well Nickm and Richard may love the BMW but ive never kept one for more than a few months. Yawn yawn yawn ...(well apart from the M3 that I wrote off Whistle )

But its each to their own Smile
