Yep very entertaining 5 1/2 hours on Sunday evening TV. Button did an amazing job, best drive of his career I think.
would have been great to have seen Michael Schumacher on the podium as well. That would have been the cherry on the cake. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Hammy would have wiped the floor with him had he not taken him out to save face,he was on a wet set up,think he was told to keep schtum to help Jenson keep his points, had Hammy done the same thing to a Ferrari he would have been crucified Mad
Of course he saw him coming you could see his head turn to look in his mirror as Hammy started the overtake, racing line my arse he came off the line to shut the door and then went back onto it,you could clearly see him turn in and then back out again once he'd taken him out.

Sorry Chris, I disagree with you that Button made a deliberate move to take Hamilton out. Just because he looked in his mirror doesn't mean he actually saw Hamilton coming up on his left side. The mirrors on F1 cars are almost useless at the best of times, never mind with all the spray from the rain! The Stewards clearly state that Button had taken the Left Hand Line on previous laps but that at the point in time that Hamilton started his move up the left, Button hadn't yet started to move over. This implies that they fully expected him to do so at the appropriate time. the fact that you say Button then moved back to the right is easily explained. What would you do if you were pulling over to the left and unexpectedly felt an impact? Wouldn't your reaction be to pull to the right, away from the imapct? The Stewards were spot on in this case. IMHO. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
