GT but it's a temp fix, the black pigment will wash off. Yes the black wax helps, but isn't a solution. Try poorboys black hole....works well on black paint. Or a much better polish for seriously in need of shine and original showroom condition try http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/poorboys-pro...rers_id=16

With all due respect to Blak Hole...it's Turtle Wax. You drive a Range Rover. It's like shopping at Lidl when you've won the lottery....why do it? Sorry Steve. I just think, if you want something better and longer lasting, you need to look elsewhere mate...

I must say, npinks is the serious Detailer on here who taught me much of what I know.....I owe a lot of my knowledge to him.

I will admit I have OCD when it comes to keeping my car clean. Preparation is the best thing for yourcar. After a good wash and dry. Claying, and Tardis for tar removal, followed by another wash, will work magic on the look, and then a polish and a wax afterwards, will leave the car looking the best it's ever looked.

Spend £100 on products and I promise, your car will look stunning for 12 months....no better satisfaction than doing it yourself (and I'm not talking cock! Laughing )

Embarassed Thanks nick, I just wish I had the time to put what I have in my head to perfect the car, 2 kids a house that needs stuff doing to it, means no time for the car Big Cry

I agree on what Nicks been saying though, prep is the key to longer lasting finish, things like SRP is cheating to get results but it's something I have and still use, it really all depends on what the person wants to achieve and how they perceive a freshly polished car, personally I can't stop myself looking at cars and thinking Censored That could do with x,y or z

Plenty of others on here with more knowledge than me, Ronnie does some fantastic work, little bit OTT taking parts off to clean behind Laughing

Nick, its quite obvious you are no novice when it comes to car detailing, where i admit that I am Embarassed but saying using Turtle wax is like shopping in Aldi, I dont agree just because it's cheaper than some other waxes it doesn't mean its crap! it cant be that bad if its been voted No 1 polish for 2011

I know the black pigment is only temporary but i am happy with the results! i will however try your advice next time I detail the car Thumbs Up BLACK RRS HST 3.6 MY08

GTSteve, sorry mate, it's good in that it will clean your car...it does what it says it will do. Just as a Nissan Micra will get you from A to B...but there are better ways of doing it. That's all I'm saying. Put it this way, if a pro Detailer turned up at my place to work on my car using Turtle Wax...he would be out of business. What me, and a few others on here do, are employing their same methods, up to a point, but with our own elbow grease.

Happy to help out mate when you're ready.....
