Halo L E D DRL's

After changing the fog light bulbs to LED's to use as DRL's , i found this mod on the D3 site http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic61097.html

This was the fog led

And this is the halo led

All credit to the guys on the Disco 3 site.

Just my opinion, but I think it would look very odd driven round with just your fog lights on Surprised

Now if the halo's were in the headlights, that would be a good mod Cool

You get the halo's for the headlights, just the same as the CCFL's for the M3

I think they look great but wouldn't you risk gettnig a ticket from a stroppy copper for driving with your fogs on in clear conditions which may be a 3 pointer? MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Well the fog lights aren't on, you can demonstrate by switching the fog lights! These are just LED's so I can't see the police winning that one in court. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Richard,
Just read the whole thread now and understand they are additional to the fog lamps.
I think the best thing to do would be to couple them through a DRL controller wired into the sidelights which should get past any legal issues. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

If you search YouTube for demon eyes RRS you can find plenty of ingo about these. I am not sure if these aren't a little over-powering and they certainly aren't as subtle as the original 'angel eyes' from the e39 BMW. I loved these on my old 5er, but am uncertain about copying the look of another manufacturer on mr RRS...

Decisions, decisions...
