Reccomended Service intervals

Hi guys

My 2007 HSE has now done 24,000miles - It has been serviced at 7,500miles and 17,000miles buy a dealer in scotland - Its due its MOT in June and as money is a bit tight at the moment was wondering if it was nessecary to get it serviced at the same time - Guy Salmom are talking £450 plus for MOT and service ?? seems steep and if I can get away with just MOT at the moment I would prefer. Any comments would be appreciated

Tell them you want to supply your own LR spec oil (will save £100 or so) and also shop around for a quote on the servicing. Play one dealer off against the other. they'll all budge a bit on the quoted price. You've got a few dealers relatively close and they'll do a courtesy car, so no hassles Smile

If your car is a 2008 & due an MOT in June then it is going to be out of warranty soon. If that's the case why not try an independant LR specialist for Service & MOT rather than a main dealer, I'm sure you'll get a better price. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Always do your last MOT and Service with a main dealer a month before your warranty expires - ask them also to do a warranty check.

Basically your car will pass its MOT and have all faults rectified and you will be issued with a 13month MOT. We have done this with all our cars.

Finally any faults can be fixed in good time Mike
