Just received my iPad 2.....never had an iPad 1 so what are essentials I need?

Is there anywhere to download films in iPad ready format?

Well you can either buy them direct from iTunes and download them onto your iPad2 ….

Or download Handbrake … and see how you get on from there as it is compatible with Mac And Windows …

If you cannot find it just google Handbrake ...

+1 for Handbrake, converts any video to iPad compatible formats, even (whisper) DVD's and best of all its free and frequently updated.

Get the iPlayer and 4OD apps and I have recently found Land Rover's Onelife free magazine to be quite good. I also have Sky+, iBooks, Numbers eBay etc and some photo editing stuff as I usually transfer RAW images from my DSLR to the iPad to review the images on a larger screen. Also having a back-up copy is useful.

There are loads of games available, I tell myself they're for the kids, but.....

I have had mine for a few weeks now and love it.

The jailbreak is due soon too meaning free apps lol

Other than that, just as above really....GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR & Case though!!

I am not 100% with the cover from apple, on the ipad 1 we have the original apple cover which encases the whole thing and after a years abuse from the children (4&6 - so they aren't gentle) the thing still looks like new. With the back of the new ipad being exposed I am not so sure it will wear as well. Still it feels much nicer in the hands with the apple smartcover than when encased in an all-over cover. You really appreciate the quality of the materials and just how light and slim it is.

my brother got one of those screen covers for the ipad2 he bought, my 5yr old was playing with it when he was round at my house and it came off in his hand

I thought his broken it somehow as i thought it was all one piece with it been silver, but was amazed at my brothers calmness when he just clicked it back on

I didn't realise it was magnetic

The apple cover is cack.....worst £59 I spent....and nothing queer about a LV cover! And yes it matches me luggage!

I got a cygnet screen protector and a silicone hard backed thingymajig for the back, also invested in a carry case too.
