Tyre Problems !

Morning all, wondering if anyone on here can help me out with any info...

Recently got a puncture, and decided to use that opportunity to upgrade the wheels from 18" to 22" stormers.

Brought the wheels including 4 x Toyo tyres from a private seller on ebay. Had them checked out when being fitted etc...and all appeared ok

Since fitting a few weeks back one of the rears and one of the fronts have gone. May just be a coinsidence but just wondering if anyone knows of any fake tyres on the market of this sort ? or could there be a problem with the alloys themselves ?

Not knowing what sort of thing could cause this, would appreciate any comments.

Cheers

Hi Marty

I have the same alloys, 22 Stormers and Toyo tyres on them. I have noticed on mine that every month i have to check the tyre pressures and the front left and rear left have always lost a bit of pressure. I dont know why and had them checked for slow punctures buy nothing. I have been tolded the the seal between the alloy and the tyre is not perfect with toyo tyres and that i should change them for hancroks.

As i have 5mm + on all the tyres i will wait untill i need them.

As gilford said, whats gone mean?. RRS TDV8, 22 rims, Privacy Glass, Premuim ICE plus Leather, Sun Roof, Stornoway Grey.

Audi RS4 Avant gone but not forgotten
Audi S4 Avant gone for good, thank god.

Generalising a bit there dont you think Neutral

I've had no issues with mine, and I'm sure a lot of other people will agree with me Confused

I had a 911 a few years ago, one of the rear tyres was forever losing pressure, turned out it was a bit of crap between the tyre and the alloy. Take it to a tyre place and get them to whip the tyre off and have a shoofty Very Happy

Do you mean that the tyres have scrubbed off on the inner/outer edges? if so, what offset are your wheels, 22" stormers will be replica's and may well be the wrong offset hence scrubbing your tyres away.

Tyre Problems

In the past I have had similar problems. I bought two new Toyo's to go onto my RRS 20 inch alloys and after a few days the tryes would be flat, they resealed them and again the same problem, they done this 3 times!

They checked the alloys and said they were fine and then said I could send the tyre away for testing, which they did and the report came back that the tyres were fine. Rolling Eyes

If I wanted the tyres back I would have to pay for them to be sent back to me....what would I do with them, if they kept going flat????? I told them to stick it and have never used PRO TYRES in ENFIELD since!!

No i'm not generalising. I've blown out 2 on potholes and one going over a tennis ball size stone at the side of the road. Also took a chunk our of the side wall of another. £170 a pop dont make me happy chappie. Apart from blowouts, if you live in a place where streets are narrow and kerbs are 90 degrees to the road, you will be forever repairing the alloys. Or am i just a sh*t driver? Hmmm!!! Whistle
