Suspension problem is driving me mad, plase help!!

Hi all.

My wife has an 2005 HSE fitted with 22'' stormers and 85k on the clock, She has been complaing that it doesnt feel rigt for a while so I decided to take a drive.

The only way I can describe it is when you go over certain bumps and potholes you get a steering wheel shake/vibration from left to right - its only a cm or two but very anoying and more apparent when breaking on unperfect road - I dont think its a knock but as said more of a steering wheel shake.

I had a range rover specialist look at the car who recalibrated the suspension and advised that as it had 22'' wheels and was not fitted with a dynamic pack that this was normal behaviour.

Anyway after driving a friends rrs with the same spec as mine and with 22's it was worlds apart and drove perfectly, I took the car to someone else who advised that it needed new lower arms and these were fitted today and £400 later the problem still persists.

It also recently had new front bearings along with new tyres, wheel balance and 4 wheel alignment.

Somebody please help me as at this rate im going to end up replacing the whole suspension to cure it Sad.

Thanks in advance

Can you take the 22" wheels off and replace with standard and see if the problem is still there Mike

05 cars were not calibrated by way of the correct steering racks for 22 wheels...that's your problem
