Buying a Warranty for a RRS - Advice!

I am buying a 2008 3.6 TDHSE RRS. The manufaturers warranty expires in September 11 and I want to organise a warranty to run on from there. I have been told to get one that covers the SatNav and Catalytic Converters? Can anyone suggest a good policy at a sensible price. Thanks for your help.

Only if you want the old sucking air through teeth and the phrase "That's not covered sir, it's wear & tear!". If you don't want that then Warranty Direct. Thumbs Up

when I say there is only one of course there are many, but the LR one doesn't cap labour, pays for basically anything any in effect is an extension to the manufacturers warranty. Best of all you dont pay a penny up front. ============

and as for wear and tear the LR official happily paid out (literally without question) for:

starter motor
thermostat
some steering damper thingy
upper tailgate glass
lower tailgate control junction box

Thanks. Is there scope to negotiate the cost on these? Where do you buy them - the dealer? I am buying my car privately.

good question. You can certainly get them through a dealer although I don't know if that is the only place. There are conditions for acceptance <5 years and <75,000 miles and MAYBE full official service history - please check this!

They also offer interest free payments, 10 months @ £76/mo

And you can also pay more to include LR assistance which is basically the AA with car hire. ============

England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Buckingham Blue

I have just purchased the Landrover Approved Warranty, cost £780/year or 10 monthly payments of £78. The car has to have the service book stamped at the appropriate time/mileage but it does not need to be the main dealer I use a good independent Landrover specialist.
I purchased my car privately when it was under two years old and arranged the warranty with the main dealer without any problems.
