ADVICE ON PRICE WHAT DO YOU THINK

I am thinking of selling my 05 sport in excellent condition no dinks or scratches, been garaged all its life got full dealer history 66800 miles just had major service, this year has had front and rear bushes done new discs all round and new pads, full reline new shoes on park brake, new battery ,new compressor and new battery, didnt need all this just me being over the top.
fully loaded fridge, sat nav, blutooth, cruise, harmon kardon, tracker, alpine drop down dvd player, playstation 2 with wireless headphones and controllers, black leather heated seats front and rear.

HST front and rear bumpers and grill all genuine land rover , stainless steel exhaust HST ends. 2010 led rear lights, 2010 diamond cut 20" autobiography wheels only 500 sets made with conti tyre, CHEAP ROAD TAX only £245.

I am reluctant to sell ,but want to up grade to new sport, although wont be for sale for a couple of weeks and will offer it up on the site ( will contact you first Martin before placing)

NOW THE QUESTION IS HOW MUCH DO YOU ALL THINK I SHOULD ASK ? I WAS THINKING 24K ? PHOTOS IN MY GALLERY regards td6006

Prices for older cars have dropped considerably recently - I decided to keep mine at least 'til next winter as summer applies negative pressure on 4x4 prices.

Even with the HST kit, I'd expect you would get something like £21 - 22k. I've assumed it's a TDV6 HSE? (can't see it in your post).

You may be better off selling the lights & HST stuff separately, and returning the car to more-or-less standard spec. Good luck Thumbs Up

Not Range Rovers Sport's, they have appreciated well over £2000 since the start of the year.... however may price guides saw a average drop of £350 on a Range Rover Sport which indicates demand is starting to reduce. S/C petrols have fell £900 Rolling Eyes

assuming its an 05 plate 2.7 HSE it book at ;

Glass Retail : 22,775
Glass Trade : 20,825

Mileage is slightly over average for its age.

Your not a million miles away on your price in my opinion man.... HST bits will increase its saleability but add little to the price Id say start at 23k on pistonheads / autotrader and see how u get on.

Other option as suggested would be to whip the HST bit off and sell them on (couple of grand in that) thus reducing the price of the car and resulting id expect in a quicker sale.
GLWS Thumbs Up

I'm talking the last 2 months, not including the winter price increase.

My recent experience selling my car told a different story to the book. Cars with identical spec to mine currently selling for less than £20k, 3 months ago it was valued on the market (not the book) about £21k which is the best offer I received.

I'm not arguing what the book says (that topic has been done to death on here), just what I experienced selling a car virtually the same (sans HST) as this car.

The book price is updated retrospectively, ie may guide is a reflection of how the market performed in april. Location, seller, method of marketing and the car all have a big effect on how quick a car will sell.

On a good day that car in std form would fetch a shade behind 21k at auction, they are doing really strong money at the moment from what ive seen of thelast few that have went through auction and that was last week.

From what ive been told by a few dealers, the RRS is now becoming affordable by many people who have been wanting one for years but not been able to afford one due to them been so new, 05/06 models have a higher demand now for that reason, darker colours always seem to be in demand more than the lighter colours but that trend is now changing with the white been very popular, silver has always been a middle of the road colour, you either like it or you don't, td6006 your car is a good spec and clearly well looked after so i hope you get what you want for it Thumbs Up

looking at your picture 23k seems very good value, even with the age & mileage.

It'll sell within hours on pistonheads.

Nice looking motor, especially with the 2010 bits, should go for 22K-23K easy enough

Prices seem to vary - Stratstones has a lower mileage '55 for £21k, there's a private red 'un for £18.5k (ok, it's red!), all on the trader, similar miles & age.

I thought a HST kit makes it more saleable, not more valuable? Confused

thx for the responce

Hi guys many thx for your comments and advice, a few differances of opinion and prices. I think I will put it up for 23.5k and see how it goes, not in any rush to sell, and if it doesn't go I'll keep it as is such a good car and drives without any faults, regards td6 2005 HSE 2.7 RRSport loaded with 2010 goodies
