Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Chawton White

Guys, many thanks for the support. Totally agree about the Best 4x4xFAR.

MDP, the car that was ordered for us here was done, I believe, in the beginning of the year. In April 2005 (when I placed my order), I was told the order is finalised and awaiting shipment. Was supposed to arrive May or June latest. So this would, I think, make the car a 2005 model. Anyway, the VIN confirms also.

As I mentioned earlier, I will have to wait till the middle of this month to see what kind of pricing I will be offered. I am willing to pay a certain premium for all the reasons you guys mentioned BUT there has to be a limit. Anything more and I will have to consider the alternative.

Will keep posting the latest! Cheers!! Malaysia Boleh!

shmoogle, at this moment there's only one.

I have been offered a brand new Cayenne Turbo for about 30,000 GBP less than the RRS price. Very tempting!

My head says go for it but my heart is still with LR, especially the RRS!!
So I will have to wait for the MD of LR Malaysia to return from the UK and see what kind of a 'discount' he can offer me.

Inshallah we can work this out.

Will keep you guys informed. Malaysia Boleh!

Eek, the saving alone would almost buy a RRS S in the UK Wink

Why can you get a Pig Turbo for 30k less than the RRS? It's about 15k more than a RRS SC in the UK... As I've said countless times before, the Cayenne Turbo is a great car as long as it's in the garage with the door shut so no-one can see it Wink

These Cayennes were brought in before there was an increase in the import tariffs... only 2 units left. Malaysia Boleh!

hmm cayenne turbo?? well that engine would be quite satisfying i should think... and off roading shouldn't be too much of a problem.. it would afterall destroy most mounds and hills you encountered with its sheer BHP and torque... but it is a damn ugly car..

right wheels/colour and them massive rear tail pipes make a hell of a difference though.. someone once said to me.. you paid £44k for that range rover.. you could have bought a porsche cayenne.. and i always said that the only one i would ever consider would be a turbo version.. but its a bit price restrictive right now.. but if it was cheaper then the RRS.. im with you bobby, my head would be tempted..

Too right. They are FUGLY! Shocked

Bloody good cars though - even quite capable offroad. Interior trim is a bit disappointing though, even on the Turbo. Just doesn't look like a 70k car in my opinion.

Remember tho that the Cayenne Turbo is about to get upgraded to 520bhp instead of the 'Paltry' 450 at the moment.

Will probably coincide with rumoured face-lift to improve that snout! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

That's a new model though, isn't it... the Turbo S. I didn't realise they were deprecating the plain ordinary Turbo?

Yes, there are still 4 versions: Base, S, Turbo and Turbo S. The Turbo S was launched earlier this year.

Absolutely right.
And in this region there's only one Turbo S - in Singapore! Malaysia Boleh!

Good News!!

My car is with the local dealer.

I was there yesterday to have a look. The Java Black was very nice. Looks awesome and, parked next to the big brother RR, simply beautiful.

However, there was no Sunroof. There was also no Rear Seat Entertainment. Not sure if Dynamic Stability Control, Active Roll Mitigation and the rest are there or not!!

Being a 1st Edition, it had the Stormer Wheels, PTI, Hand Polished Real Lined Oak. Brembo brakes are there.

I am not sure if it has the Premiun Navigation System, Harmon Kardon Logic 7, Bi-Xenon Adaptive Front Headlights.

Since we were not able to test drive the vehicle, I don't know if there is a 6-Speed Adaptive Automatic Gearbox, Electronic Air Suspension, Rain Sensor etc.

I am also not certain if there are any airbags, curtain or otherwise. Malaysia Boleh!
