OK so everything will now be ready for 5pm except they say they cannot put on the brembo decals they have ordered as they are too big for the brakes because the brakes are not brembos!

Is this true, are the brakes not brembos anymore? I know only the front ones were but are none brembos now??

Also he said they would get some smaller brembo badges that would fit and do not need clear laquering over and they could fit these next week.....

does this sound right?

It is true the brakes are NOT brembos !!!!!  

The stickers you could do yourself, get them off flea-bay for a few quid, no they don't need clear laquer over the stickers, they will be fine without, i will let you know what make the brakes are very soon but i don't think they are brembo's anymore, good luck with the handover you jammy git

JF - I was under the impression that the front calipers on the MY 2010 onwards were indeed Brembos, just not badged.

The badges do come in a few sizes as there is a range of caliper sizes for different cars and rears tend be smaller than the fronts in any case.

Ive just double checked with my body shop mate who laughed when I told him they don't need lacquering - "might just last til you get home!" was his comment. Apparently a combination of brake dust and rain will do them in, in no time. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I painted my calipers months ago and put brembo stickers on and they are just as good today as they were when i put them on so i guess your bodyshop man is only surmising and not talking from experience

Im assuming the calipers will be lacquered for the final coat anyway - so get them to do that after applying the transfers. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

The front brakes are NOT brembo's on the new 3.0 diesel, they are a land rover product now, but on the supercharged model they ARE brembo's

Haven't they always been an "upgrade" for the TDV6? with the SC and TDV8 getting them as standard.

Any my decals are not lacquered over eirther.. still look great RRS gone
