Advice on 19" Wheels

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction, as I am a little bit confused?

I have just bought a 2010MY RRS HSE TDV8, it has 20" Wheels on, I would like to buy a set of 19" wheels and put some General Grabber AT tyres on it ready for winter - I know, it is only May!! I am a little bit confused on buying a set of 19" wheels and fitting the correct tyre size to them.

I was looking at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SET-4-RANGE-ROVER-SP...230d934201 but they state that they have a 8J rim width. In the manual I believe that they should have a 9J width. Would it be ok to put some 255/55 R19 tyres on them? and should I be looking for a 9J fitting. (I dont have the brembo brakes on my RRS)

From http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.html the new tyres will be bigger than the 275/40 R20 already on there, as there is a bigger aspect ratio, but I think that they will be ok?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

I might be wrong here but, I think those wheels are the same as the spare wheels fitted to HSE spec Disco3's, afaik they're always black.

Plenty of 19" RRS wheels for sale on fleabay so my advice is just pick up a set. I run 255/55/19's on my RRS without any issue (Pirelli ATR's), it's the standard 19" tyre size size on the D3 anyway. Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.

Hi,

Yes, I spoke to them this morning, they are indeed the spare wheels!!! In the manual they are the durable spare wheel 8Jx19 - I think that I might pass on them - thanks for your reply
