Not yet an RRS owner. looking for a 3.6/ 4.2 black n black 07 plate with under 50k miles

Questions: 1. should I go private or dealer route
2. anything specific I need to look for on RRS ( particular issues )
3. Any recommendations as to warranty ( good /bad..official/independent?)

Currently running a porsche 996 turbo 03 ......on sale...may p/x

appreciate any help/advice.

Personally I would go for a SC 4.2.

Listen for the dreaded knocking of the front suspenion.

I only ever buy from approved dealers but that is only personal taste, because of the warranty.

There have been issues with the rear tailgate lock getting wet and failing.

Check the door entry rubber on the drivers side I have had to replace mine twice as i rub it on getting in and out.

I'm sure others will be on soon.

Best thing get it and enjoy it.

Lovely cars and I was surprised today at the latest Diesel. However I am a V8 nut (petrol) and cannot believe I thought of trading down to a Evoque.

Mine is an 07. Reliable as hell and with extended LR warranty. With one of those I would be happy to buy privately.

No problems to report of any note on mine ...............

Marc......your RRS looks great...just what I am looking for. except i'm not sure i could keep the ivory leather clean...much prefer black.

I'm gonna go out tommorow and see what the dealers are willing to give me p/x for the porsche.

In which case I will wait until I can sell it privately and then at least have the cash to negotiate a good deal.
