MANAGMENT LIGHT

Hi Lads,I,ve just took out map sensor(filthy)and gave it a good clean.I went a short run
to the shop (about 2miles)and all was fine,coming back after about 1mile l lost all power although
it did not stop,l pulled over and turned the ign off then started up again and away it went no probs
but l now have the engine managment on.Can anyone tell me whats going on and can l put the light off myself
PS I pulled the sensor out to clean it

When you cleaned the map sensor did you push some gunk into the hole? Might pay to blast it with a bit of CRC. Also, there may be a possibility that the EGR valves are playing up - give each a light tap. Then start and shut down the engine three times - it takes three starts to clear the engine light. If no luck sounds like it needs to go on a diagnostic machine.

Cleaned out with WD40 and the eye of a needle,everything looked spotless.
I had the EGRs blanked off around 8month ago and car has ran minted since.
Anyway thanks for the quick reply

Cheers mate I,ve just went out and stopped and started the engine 4times
the light is now out.
