On my "interested" list for a car that would fit into my garage were Audi A6 Allroad, Skoda Yeti Elelgance, Honda CRZ (no, not the CRX) or a Nissan Leaf. The lead in time for the Evoque was shorter than all of them!
Crikey, times must be hard, from a RR to a Yeti / Nissan of any sort + any of the others.............costly yes, but its a F g RR, what do people expect..........in reality, they bought them and ultimately could not afford to keep them and opted for the "unreliability" quote to save some credibility. Thats the wonder of consumer finance, it makes it affordable, but when the maintenance is called for, people shirk and regret..........nobody buys a complex vehicle like a RR or any of the other LR products and expects ownership to be cheap..........if we wanted that, we WOULD all buy Pathfinders / Navaras / Yetis etc and just blend in with the normal cars on the road...........all horrendous to look at IMO and specifically the Navara a crock of S t to boot, not my words but 2 people I know, albeit distantly as they obviously have "driveway laying" blood running through their veins. I totally agree - but maybe would have gone further.
I really think that people give LR's a bad name on reliability for no reason - and ive owned them (and a number of them) for 15yrs.
my wifes new ford (which she loves and is entitled to thats fine as she also supports my Rangie/LR's) has had more issues than my 10yr old off roader discover (eg two new sums in a year) as did the new VW's before that, even if my disco blew up tonight (which i hope it doesnt ) Mike
