X5 PEA It looks really good you must have to much time on yours hands being able to source and have all these bits fitted. Have you thought about chrome wing vents and mirror capping's to finish it off! Current 2007 RRS S/C HST Premium Edition

Laughing I run an IT company mate so spent 90% of my time on a computer

Im not gonna bother with the chrome vents or mirrors, there isnt any other chrome on the car and they kinda stuck out like a sore thumb in my opinion. I went with color coding the outer part of the side vents to match the body color instead.

Very nice, just how I like my cars. Where do you keep all your cars, I had to sell 2 of mine as they were all on the drive and I kept having to move them to get them out the garage Rolling Eyes And the neighbours didn't want me to extend the garage...

X5pea, after some advie if possible please mate Thumbs Up

I am in the process of acquiring and fitting a HST kit to my Ranger. Since it is cheaper to buy the kit in parts from the dealers, is the rear bumper a direct swap or does it need some sort of support bar behind it? Also when fitting the exhausts do you have to change the mufflers or can you just bolt the tips to the original boxes after cutting the ends off (TDV6).

Many Thanks

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

bumpers dont need support bars,

can get away with just the exhaust tips, ensure you buy the diesel variant of the exhaust too

have to cut original exhausts though

Cheers Ardy, if I dont need all these extra parts, then there will be quite a substantial saving. Going down the dealer route will probably be cheaper than used kits that occasionally pop up on Ebay.

ebay is not the cheapest option but is a lot cheaper option is to pick and choose what you want

ie

I had bumpers, tail pipes and front grille it achieved the look I wanted

but missed the spoiler, rear plinth, door extensions and mufflers

Yes a good plan you had there Ardy, I already have the front bumper (a rare ebay bargain). It is the bumper skin, the tow eye cover and the foglight bezels. From what I can tell all I need is the actual foglights, and the centre two parking sensor holders. For the rear I saw fitting instructions for the kit and in that the rear bumper looked a bit confusing with various other brackets / bars being fitted first. If you scroll to the rear bumper section you will see.

A12DY do you use the Land Rover clamps to secure the tailpipes to the mufflers or an aftermarket type clamp ? The Land Rover clamps require you to drill into the tailpipe to secure the bolts, which looks a rather fiddly job. Question
