Has anyone used this?

Is it worth it...worth the money?

Opinions welcome! Mike

You can see it no doubt but colour of the car depends on what you see , Not quite as hi gloss as paintwork of course

If you have a new car it is worth the extra to go whole front end back to the doors , that was far less lines as it cuts across the bonnet and wings on a part shield. 2014 5.0SC AB

Gone 5.0 SC

It's only as good as the company applying it, if it's not done properly it will start to lift at the edges and look tatty.

Even if you can see it's there it's worth it knowing you've got mint paintwork underneath.

I know a few forum members have used it with good effect.
I didnt have my RRS done and always regretted it when the stone chips started to take hold.

I have found a company in Birmingham to apply it to my new Jag in a couple of weeks.
I will report back when it's done.

I wont name the company yet in case they arent any good.

One important piece of advice with paint protection film...
There are a lot of companies offering it cheap, they cut the film ON THE CAR...if you have ever seen a police car when they remove the decals you will know that it doesnt look pretty.
Venture shield agents use pre cut templates for specific models and dont need to cut with scalpels.

I will be interested to see how good a job they do on mine. I will discuss a forum discount if anyone is interested.

I watched a link from here about wrapping an Eddie Stobbard tractor unit and was horrified to see how they ran a scapel along all the panels to trim edges depsite taking great care with all the other aspects of applying the various transfers to i. OK so it was a truck not a car but still a great deal of money involved

BTW two members here who have used venture shield were Josh and RRUK - there are postings from 2005/2006 regarding applying it to an RRS 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

If you could - as im aware there is only one ventureshield agent in Birmingham, i know the one and it would be them, so im interested.

I am almost there with the benefits - its the cost side that is still dragging me down Mike

Dont know if it is just me but i cannot see the point, if you put it on the front end yes you will have mint paintwork when you remove it but what about the rest of the car, the other areas will be faded and noticable to the front.

Australia 2005 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Tangiers Orange

I had a firm called Paintshield do my VX220 a few years ago, chap called Tom. Had the front end, mirrors, sills & rear arches covered. Stunning job, highly recommend them and the product (I believe it's all a 3M material if memory serves). This was on a black car, the lines were barely visible.

This firm used to be one of the best back in the early days, my P1 came with it on from prodrive to protect the front bumper and lower front splitter, another manufacturer with soft paint issues (subaru)

Agree.......just get the paintwork sorted once in a while, my dealer does minor dents, scratches, stone chips etc for reasonable money
