England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Stornoway Grey

For me it would entirely depend on the spec the S has. I couldnt live without phone prep, and i've always been advised I should always look for a RRS with NAv, Phone and Leather for when it comes to resale, I'm not sure if this is correct or not.

Take the S, I wish I had.

As long as it has leather & sat nav the rest is crap & over priced IMO.

You pay over the odds for a fridge, brakes you dont need, blue lights - wow - and some other stuff which as its built be Land Rover will probably go wrong at some stage.

Take the low miler! Thumbs Up

You're very misguided my friend and you will find in the minority too. Buy an S and find out just how hard it is to sell it on.....good luck with that!

Who wants Sat Nav, Brembos and a fridge? Leather, Xenons, rear heated seats......of course nobody does!!

Well I've had both the S and HSE models (currently have HSE), and I cant help thinking that the S with some different wheels is by far the better buy in terms of value.

You can get a cracking sport S, 08 with around 20k on the clock for around 30-32 the same HSE 35ish ... I'd rather save the 3-5k.

If the HSE badge is a big deal I've got two in my garage Razz Stick that on with some upgraded alloys Cool

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

My youngest sister bought a used S 2.7 last August. It came with 20" S/C wheels, PTI, leather (but silly girl, no seat heaters................ oh so cold this winter!) and privacy in Santorini Black. 2 years old and 13000 miles and at the knock down price of £20k because nobody else would buy it................... she loves it, it has given her lots of pleasure and she's not worried that she doesn't have a fridge, satnav (anyway a Tomtom is better value and more flexible) and now she's had an RRS there is no way she would pass on another. It has also run fautlessly since I told her to book it into the local LR dealership to get it serviced and any outstanding TSB's done as it had been sold to them by a non-franchise outlet who were glad to see the back of it! It's nice to have lots of toys but you can live without them and it doesn't deminish the car. My first RRS was an SE in a weird colour with no extras. When I traded up to the TDV8 the dealer thought he might have a problem selling it on........ it sold within a week just because it was different (ie it wasn't black with black/alpacca interior) and it was just what somebody wanted. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Thanks folks, looks like the HSE i winning..going back to the garage today to have another look.

my only reservation at the moment is the possibility that the HSE has been smoked in and when i viewed it yesterday it looked as if the headlining may be discoloured...any suggestions?
