Engine fault (no usual warning lights or bongs, just the owners manual "icon" on the dash)

Car immediately slowed to snail pace.... 30% throttle max...

Anyway, limped to church car park, sat the for an hour and a half for RAC

They came...diagnosed throttle sensor fault... poked and prodded around...no luck.... tried to remove the lower trim below the steering column and failed.. so booked a flatbed to recover me to dealers.... anyway after he's gone on his merry way I start the car for some heat..and voila no fault... and no amount of throttle blipping or revving gets any errors... but elect to play safe and wait for truck..

1.5 hours later they finally show up... .. lost my paperwork in the office and had forgot about me....

Take me to dealer and currently waiting for diagnostic report form them today..

1st time a LR has truly left me stranded... hopefully the last time too! RRS gone

Just had my TDV8 with engine system fault message and restricted power. Recovered to dealer (Morrisons Stirling) with a suspect turbo fault!?!?!? this was what the Landrover assistance guy diagnosed after he visted me a home, car sat in dealer carpark for a week then I finally get car back - asked what they had done and basically they have lubricated the turbo actuator linkages, this is seemingly bad on these cars but I have no idea.

I'm not happy with pathetic attempt at a repair and feel the car will show the same problem after the WD40 dries out on linkages etc what can I do as I know the next step is a replacement of the turbos and as you all will probably be aware of, it's a body off job! there is no where on earth I will have these muppets at my local dealer removing the body off the car - absolute guaranteed to make a pigs ear of it.

Very dissapointed with car especially when it's only done 18K miles.

Yeah mine has done this this three times over the two years I've had the car.
Each time I pull over and switch her off she fires up and drives as if nothing has happened
Nothing seems to show up as a stored fault

Touchwood it hasn't happened in over a year

If the dealer reloads the standard map back onto the ecu (no reason why they should, but there is always a risk) then my BAS interface and map will no longer work with my car..and Ill have to go back to BAS "cap in hand" to see if he'll re-flash it.

It's part of the security Pete built into it to stop people sharing maps with only one license



Day 2, dealer still hasn't found the fault..now checking EGR's (sometimes throws the same "throttle position sensor" error message apparently ) RRS gone

OK..where was my phone call this morning explaining that you'd not be working on it today then? I've spent all day waiting for you to ring me.... and now I'm looking at no car over the weekend too...

They'll not be seeing me again after this that's for sure... RRS gone
