Forgive me if this is a stupid question...

I wondered if there was a specific way of activating the air con, ive put the dials to cold obviously.

However the air doesnt appear to be very cold, its cool but it should be cooler.

Have you pressed the auto button in the middle,if you have then it will probably need re gassing. 2007 HSE in black with 22 inch id ones with privacy glass.

I shudnt need the auto pressed shud I? It just blasts the blowers in your face too much.

As long as you haven't pressed the economy button the air conditioner should be running. Selecting auto will mean that it should be running. If the air isn't very cold when you have selected auto and set the temp to min then you probably need to replace the gas in the system as Plasterman has already said.

Also.. did you press the air recirculation control button?
It should be on.  Malaysia Boleh!
