Brought my 2005 RRS 2.7 diesel for a 120k service to the main dealer LANDMOTORS in Barcelona.

After picking up the car, i noticed none of the 4 wheels had not been taken off during the service.
Since they were still very dirty of my skieing trip, marks of handling the wheels would definately have show.
I would think that they need to remove the wheels to check the brakes etc?
This could cuase a safety hazard if the dont inspect the more important parts of the car!!!!

Now i´m looking for the official maintenance check sheet of LR, with which i will go back then to the dealer to ask for an explanation. Can somebody forward this to me?

Paid 750 euros incl change of a pipe for the turbo which was torn and gave problems with black smoke and power loss.
Now the car drives like new again! SW

Checked the car a bit more according the maintenance check sheet:

-The wheels should have been removed to check the brakes and then rotated (left to right side), which they didn´t.
-Engine oil is black. Only drove 150 km after the service!
-Reservoir of the windsreen washer is not filled up.

Anybody has any idea how i can realy see if the dealer serviced my car?

Sounds all a bit schizophrenic, but since i´ve been based in Spain, i had my share of unbelievable situations.

Sit and watch him when he does it again for no charge

Seems quite common for dealers not to remove the wheels during services. They jack the car up and look at the brakes with the wheels on. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award
