£542 for a new starter motor (inc VAT and fitting)
£270 for a new intermediate shaft on the steering column (inc VAT and fitting) - I didn't even know this was worn but Lookers detected a clonk on their test drive!

Waiting for more info on potentially vanishing coolant before we'll see if they pay for that too (coolant drops over time, nothing too dramatic.. pressure test came back okay - could it be something serious.. time will tell)

LR extended warranty - £760 a year on a TDV8 57 plate.

I've never understood why some dealers try and weazzle out of warranty claims, it's not as if they pay directly!

I took my HST in a few weeks ago, had new door handles, wishbones, bushes, parking sensors and exhausts all done for free

I was quite suprised about the exhaust, but as it is stainless it shouldn't have surface rust so off they came! I'm quite friendly with the service manager as he has just come over from BMW where I have been for many years, but I've always had good dealings with most dealers

sometimes because the labour the warranty company will pay for is not enough to cover the job, or is at a reduced £ rate

just paid out for a new thermostat - £272 including fitting!

just paid out for an entire new upper tailgate glass and fitting : £730!!

that's £1824 so far

just to update this thread, when I sold the car the extended warranty transferred to the new owner without any hassle
