Tyres?

Hi all reading this

My tyres are getting low on thread, I'm currently looking to replace them soon (summer tyres) has anyone any opinions or ideas for me on which to buy? These are just for the road

Thanks S.Wilson, range rover sport hse, 2.7, stornoway grey!

Hi,I think that depends on whether you want best performance or lowest cost.
My Pirellis Scorpion Zeros wore very well I only had 2 sets in 65,000 miles but the Contis I had just fitted before it went back made the car handle and corner much better but apparently they don't last much more than about 15K miles.
The Pirellis were great on snow never got stuck once in very deep snow at times but don't think the Contis would be anywhere near as good as they have a much finer tread pattern.
Hope that helps a bit.

I replaced my Crapinentals with Hankook Ventus last year. The Contis were done in after 6k miles as they wear unevenly across the tread and the edges feather very quickly indeed.

Im very happy with the Hankooks and can't honestly say Ive noticed any difference in the handling. Mine were £130 a corner, fitted. The alternatives I looked at were General Grabber UHP I think.

Have a quick search and Im sure you'll find other recommendations on here too. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

My Conti's were rubbish too - wore unevenly in no time at all - went for the Hankooks and thought they were great .... got a different motor now, again with Conti's and again wearing badly - I will be repurchasing the Hankooks when I hit thread !

I fitted Toyo Proxo ST and must say a great quiet tyre and when we had the snow was amazed how good they were, same goes for the wet, not a bad price either, 1 year old, 20000 miles and still look new
