Hi Ady,
But is that a personal policy or for business use as well?

£539 with Land Rover Insurance, up about 100 on last year but generally competitive and includes business mileage.

I stick with them cos I want my car repaired by LR in the event of....... NFU guarantee this too ( and both cover off road damage, most don't) but many do not and dictate repair shops that you wouldn't want your RRS anywhere near!

I just ran through Go compare, Confused.com, NFU and Direct line and none got close when you took into account excess levels and extras. So reasonably happy with the LR cover Smile

....lets just hope I never have to use it!

Simon,
Thanks for that,Land Rover Insurance have quoted me £1176 for my new one arriving tomorrow which is about half of what Allianz wanted, up from £830 last year,Aviva also wanted over £2K.
I've had to fit a Tracker but all of the ones who quoted were insisting on that too so fitting a Tracker Locate system which costs £435. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Tell me about it!!
Livid this year..

Im 29, 11 years NCB, decent area etc..
Last Year: Bmw 730d - privilege with commuting: £480. Renewal came through: £1,383!!!
After shopping around, best deal i could get Admiral: £760..

Merc S320 CDI: 3 years NCD for chauffeur use: Last year: NIG £1,483. This year best deal with BRIT: £2,560!
Merc Viano 2.2 XLWB: 2 years NCD for chauffeur use: Last year: NIG: £1350. This year best deal with BRIT: £2,680!

Other car's have all gone up too by certain percentages.
All i know is, we know a lot of accident management companies have opened up, and have been exploiting the hell out of the other insurers for 'credit hire' replacement cars, and luxury vehicle replacements on very expensive daily rates.. now they have all received letters of investigation, so they should all dissapear within the next 12-18 months and so hopefully premiums will get competitive again, but i think they will decline in price slower then they have increased!

Yes Kam have heard this on the radio, some footballer had somebody run into his new E Class..................... he was then hired an Aston DB9 at £600 a day which was charged to the other party's insurer (Allianz) who contested it and then lost the case in court because their own claims department took so long to realise they were being fleeced! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I really don't understand why mine is so high, can't possibly be my postcode,I plugged it into the police crime site and there were no reported incidents at all.
The only crime I ever see are the crackheads who pitch up in the autumn to pick my magic mushrooms.
I've got 9 years no claims,no points since about 1998 so it can only be due to the car being on contract hire and they presume I'm going to rag it and not take care of it I guess Confused MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Just had my insurance quote for September, and it's brill. £781 but that's for my rrs and the wife's polo, £462 for the rrs with me and the wife on the policy. Been to a few other companies and the cheapest was £893 for the rrs which is mental. I'm with admiral and have the multi car policy which is the best value for money for us. I would recommend them to every one at the moment. Doesn't matter if ur other half car insurance is not due until next year they will still give you the discount as long as you transfer your other half over when the policy is due the following year. But for us it us the cheapest . Thumbs Up RRS 07

Just paid my insurance again with Esure, last year I paid £338.43 and the renewal price for 2011/12 came to £315.40. So it was £23.03 less this year. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter :roll laugh:

Admiral quoted £5 less but didn't I bother to change.
