Hi,

I posted earlier about immanent battery/alternator problem.

Went to pick up the wife earlier and key fob won't open the doors and so I guess the battery is completely drained.

I know that you can manually use the key on the passenger door. As its late now and cold I didn't fancy trying tonight but will give it a go in the morning.

How do you open the passenger door manually as I cant get to the manual as its in the car!!!

Flick the cover off the passenger handle you will see the key motif on the cap,stick the key in and it should unlock the door.The mrs did it on ours so it should be quite easy  2007 HSE in black with 22 inch id ones with privacy glass.

Thanks for you replies.

Next dilema. I have tried the way to unlock but no luck. They key is turning as it should do in the lock but no response form the car.

I have spoken to the dealer and they said the alternator will be under warranty as the car is under 65,000 miles.

The problem is that I can't get in, I could call the AA but I need to be at least 1/2 a mile from home and the car is outside the house!!!

Dilema, any other suggestions.

Hi,

Would love to but mine is a 2007 model bought used from an independent dealer with their warranty not Land Rover.

Spoken to the dealer lots this morning and they have been really helpfull and havn't suggested LR assist.

They have suggested that there is a way to open the bonnet manually form the outside, any ideas?
