Grinding from front suspension

RR Sport 2006 2.6 HSE. Standard issue 19" wheels.

I have seen the posts about front suspension knocking, but I don't think this is that problem.

When going around a roundabout at anything faster than dead-slow, there's a grinding noise from the front suspension. The handling suddenly feels different - it feels like a combination of the ABS and Hill Descent cutting in (like as if I'm turning sharply on deep gravel). When I straighten up, everything suddenly returns to normal.

To start with, I thought the wheel was coming off, but on inspection everything looks OK.

So, does this sound like front suspension knocking, or is it something different? Thanks.

My '55' S/C also makes a strange grinding sound from the front wheels when enthusiastically cornering (roundabouts especially).

Anyone here had a similar experience and know the cause/cure. I just had the car serviced and they found no problems at the front end (bushes/diff/cv's/etc) Just need the bushes at the rear replaced.

p.s. I do have 22" Overfinch wheels on.

Thanks.

Simon.

Have i read somewhere that 55 plate s/c and 22's don't mix very well because they catch somewhere under the wheel arch/suspension, or am i talking billy bull5hit Question

Just to clarify...

Whilest it sounds and feels as if the tyre is scraping the wheel arch or something, the tyre isn't touching anything. Something is triggering the ABS (or Hill Descent).

There are no warning lights on the dashboard.

It passed its MOT today.

I'm a bit disappointed there's been no suggestions as to what's wrong. I think it may be a sensor causing the ABS to trigger.
