Possible Group Buy: Media in Motion interfaces

Just gauging interest with the possibility of placing an order if there is enough interest.

I wanted to have the TV function in my car with the possibility of adding a second AV input to watch through the navigation screen. I wanted to be able to to control most functions through the touchscreen and be as painless instal as possible.

After much searching of interfaces available (the usual suspects) I have found the perfect interface: media in motions' DVB-Logic and if TV tuner is not required they do the Control-Logic (2 AV inputs). The full specs can be found here>

http://media-in-motion.co.uk/category/land...ver-sport/

They are plug and play with the cars existing wiring (no need to go searching for +'ve -'ve and AAC etc) and also have the benefit of having a dedicated RVC input with its switched power supply in the loom so no need to go cutting into other cables also. They emulate the factory TV and are controllable from the touch screen with possibility of controlling the other AV source if in their list of compatible devices (will need a small IR remote cable at a cost of £5).

After much to-ing and fro-ing with multiple questions regarding fitting etc with one of their reps he has said that with 5 or more orders he can do 20% off list prices.

This means the DVB-LR would be £623.20 and he would also include the IR remote control (which as well as allowing rear seat passengers to change the TV station etc it will also allow the useage of the teletext function!).
And the CON-LR would be £463.20......

Whats your thoughts, and interest if any............

If not I'll still be ordering the DVB-LR but would much prefer it with a 20% reduction Rolling with laughter 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..

I'll find out the price for you T Boner.

Just for info , I think you can add the other interfaces but that would mean removing the OE TV tuner (seems pointless) and making the optical ring closed, if that makes sense. It mentions it in the installation instructions that I've been studying and questioning with the rep, lol. 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..

Right, just had a reply and to update if we can get 5 or more or whatever interfaces the prices with the 20% discount would make them:

DVB-LR £623.20
CON-LR £463.20
LIT-LR £431.20
VIM-LR £151.20

Whats your thoughts?

edited: DVB not DVD.... And sorry Tboner, missed the 1 of your VIM when I mailed him. 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..

As much as I would like TV in motion, it's a ridiculous price to pay for what are a couple of leads.

It is hard to justify the price of my new AT tyres for a few bits of wire! MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Each to their own big pimp, I do agree with you but if someone wants it then hey! Thumbs Up

zb, if you click on the link above it will take you to the manufactures website and the relevant interfaces. If you select the interface that may interest you the code is on that interfaces page and will detail what is included in that particular interface. Then you can see what the cost will be.

But just for the people who dont want to look!!!

DVB-LR is a DVB-T Tuner interface with an additional AV input, dedicated RVC input (with its own power supply from the interface loom) and will include an IR remote for rear seat passengers to control and use the teletext function.

CON-LR is an AV interface which has 2 AV inputs and dedicated RVC input (with its own power supply from the interface loom).

LIT-LR is a lite AV interface which has just 1 AV input.

VIM-LR is a video in motion activation device.

Hope that helps people!!!!! 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..

Here, I meant no offence mate...

I'm all for group buys, and it's especially great to see forum members helping each other out....

But for me, and as much as I'd love it (and I really would!) I'd find I hard to justify spending it, especially as I can remember splicing wires in my old kenwood flip out head unit with tv tuner which had the exact same effect! MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Think you will find if you look at the site it is a little bit more than a splice in wire kit supplied , Control units and aux inputs are part of it not just "In Motion" 2014 5.0SC AB

I hope they do big pimp Twisted Evil Mr. Green Twisted Evil And no offence taken hence the Rolling with laughter as that is your view.

SO back to the point of this thread:

Tboner, I have had a reply back and if we get enough people involved the VIM-LR1 (I remembered it this time Laughing ) would be £159.20

Also like to point out it seems the LIT-LR Lite interface now also has a dedicated RVC input too!

NONE OF THE VIDEO IN MOTIONS HAVE AN AV INPUT. 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..

zb the DVB-LR will output the picture to the front screen and be able to output the picture to rear screens you have via RCA output. I am not sure what you would get if you have factory RSE, I will enquire.

I have tried to upload the DVB-LR installation instructions into my gallery so everyone can see how easy and in-depth these interfaces are but it keeps coming up 0 uploads successful! The pdf is 3637KB so smaller than the 7000KB limit . . . So what am I doing wrong, any ideas? 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..
