HELP - Front pass door does not lock!

Hello guys, having a problem with the front passenger side door on 2006 RRS. The door now fails to lock. At first it would not unlock but now i've manually unlocked it through the key, it won't lock again. I can't lock it from the remote or manually as the key hole seems jammed and i fear breaking my key in there if i try too much. When the unlock button is pressed on the remote or the internal unlock button, the latch remains in its lock position but the door is still unlocked.

Can somebody help me, or will i have have to go to the stealers and get shafted! Confused

Hi,

it sounds like the door latch part has gone faulty.

they are about £40 from the dealers, they will charge about 1.5 hours to fit them.

hope this helps RRS MY2012 AutoBiography

the missus noticed that drivers door wasnt locking today.
watching from inside the lock closes a bit but it appears as though the locking solonoid is lacking power to close fully. interior locking switch closes it a bit more but not enough.
it is a bit cold today so maybe a dodgy cable.

reading the posts on the Disco3 website im not suprised really.

anyone had the same or similar?

I had the same problem with my drivers door, dealer quoted me £136 to be fixed, it was the door lock that had actually broke, quite common, fortunatly i had mine fixed under warranty.
