Is the caller someone you have stored in your phone book ?

If the name and number is not in your phone book ( on your phone ) ...and someone rings you ....how will the car know who it is ????

It will then only bring up the number ...as it cant associate it with a name . Bluetooth Exchange www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

Sorry no pic, but maybe a description will help?

If you were sat in the boot, facing the right hand panel, inspection panel door off, then you can see your DVD player at the 6 o'clock position. The bluetooth module is at the 10 o'clock position. It's roughly the size of a the DVD magazine for the auto changer and says Nokia on it. I think it it's held in with one torx screw.

Cheers,

Mark

If you open the small pull out panel on the right side panel, the module is right there(slightly forward. '08 RRS TDV8

It is an actual physical upgrade L888DER, they took out the older original bluetooth module from 2005 (I think it's somewhere under the boot floor) and replaced it with a newer unit, I think the one which is in all 2010 models. Was around £400 with fitting at the dealership, which included a few relevant software upgrades.

To be honest, the real pain was having to pair the iphone every time I got into the car, could have lived without the phonebook download feature, but invariably I would get a call every time I forgot to manually pair it!

Any chance that you kept hold of the one they took out? Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Mine transfers automatically 08MY TDV8 and 3GS iPhone.
If you open the bluetooth menu on the iphone (Settings, General, Bluetooth) the Landrover should be listed if you then tap the button with the > on it then it opens a menu and one of the options in there is to transfer the phonebook to the Landrover.
Mine displays caller id on both the stero and in the message panel on the dashboard. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
