Painting the hubs

Hi
Can anybody recommend as to what I can paint my hubs with as I have just purchased some new alloys and the rust coloured hubs look absolutely dreadful

Silver VHT paint is the stuff to use.

If you Google VHT paint you'll get around a million places, I think on eBay they sell special kits I've never tryed them but have a look?

caliper paint

Hi I have just finished painting mine tonight , same problem as you, I used E-TEC BREKE CALIPER PAINT bought off ebay 14 pounds, comes in a kit you get paint, tin brake cleaner and paint brush.Really easy to use and looks like new.

Would you have the Ebay item number? and is this for the calipers or the hubs, was one kit enough for all fouur hubs/calipers??

Just dont paint the face of the hub where the wheel are in contact; there is a slight risk that, over time the paint between wheel and hub may affect the wheel nut torque and, you might find the wheel sticks.

paint for calipers and hubs

Hi guys I have taken photos will try and up load them tomorrow for you to see.

I have painted my calipers and have just bought new discs all round being fitted Monday so have painted these ready to fit, obviously you can only paint the sections of the discs that do not come into contact with your pads or the face that the wheel makes contact with. I WILL TRY AND POST PICS TOMORROW NIGHT FOR YOU TO SEE.

E-TEC CALIPER PAINT KIT EBAY NUMBER eBay Item No. 270447763298 very easy to use and only needs one coat.

REMEMBER to raise suspension up into full off road position before you jack you car, regards td6006
