Removing rear headrests

I feel such an idiot, but try as I may I cannot remove the rear headrests on my MY2011 RRS HSE. Just press the release button and lift off says the handbook, but no matter how hard I press the button and lift they go so far then lock. Is there a knack or do I attack with a club hammer?

One thing I did discover is the seat backs lock in position when folded down as well as when in the upright position. This was after trying to just lift them back into position with no luck, until I tried lifting by the little strap on the back which obviously unlocked the seat back.

Every trip is an adventure and a learning experience in the RRS. Very Happy

If it's the same as the earlier RRS's which I would imagine it is there is another button to push in on the other headrest hole.

Thanks for the tips, I shall try again once the storm has past and I can get to the garage without getting soaked and blown over.
