Nav-tv experiences

Hi all,

I have some questions about the nav-tv module I found on the internet. Does someone already have this installed in its range rover sport. I have searched many topics already (some are 3-4 years old and probably not accurate).

What I would like to do is to connect my iphone in such a way that it would load the battery and that I can control the music and video of the iphone on the sat nav and or steering wheel.

Hereby I video what I would like:

Here is a video where the system actually works:

This last one is exactly what I want. If there is then also still the possibility to attach a DVD or parking camera, that would be great, but it hasn't the highest priority.

Most importantly, does someone have this kit? How does it work? What are your experiences. I saw many devices where only the video in is used via the screen and where the ipod/iphone still works through AUX, but that is not what I seek.

Anyone? Already thanks in advance.

Geert.

Hi Pete,

How did it work? A company told me it would work one day and another day it wont.
Could you use the numbers (normally for telephone) to navigate through albums and artists? Or can you only navigate through the sat nav? Did you have the rear back camera? Or something else besides the iphone attached to it?

I can't call him, I live in Belgium so I am looking for a company who can perform the upgrade here.
Otherwise I can buy the module and perhaps do it myself? Is there any possibility that I could mail him with my questions?

Is there anyone else that had this upgrade?

I didnt really play with it that much to be honest, i only wanted it to add a carpc so i only was interested in the imput of it.

You can still call him even if in Belguim Smile or of course email him. http://nav.tv/contact-us

It comes with fitting instructions so i assume you could fit it your self.

Off course I can call him also from Belgium (wrongly put it in a sentence) Smile

I'll mail him to ask for some info. I saw also on the site that they don't distribute to Belgium. I will have to get it out of the Netherlands (closest to me).

Through this forum I was hoping to get some user experiences. I was thinking that if it does what they say it does that more people would have it?
Or are there other better solutions ( example, buy a newer module from LAnd Rover itself to support this?? )

I dont think the company advertises much really to retail, its mostly sold i beleive to car modification workshops where the customer of the car does not get to see what they used on the install.

From my experience with it it did what it said it would on the packet really, the fitting instructions were ok, not the best but they were ok to give a help.

Im not sure of all the options they do as i only fitted my kit to a D4 for the extra TV button to inject my pc, but they was very helpfull and the kit seemed good quality.

Alright pete,
thanks for all the info.

One last question. Can you give me some kind of price range where I would be looking at when purchasing this kit?

I assume I will need the OPV-1LR since I don't have the TV tuner of Land Rover.

Hopefully the sentence "Range Rover Sport (MOST)" isn't gonna give a problem.
