Come on then, spill the beans who remapped it ? I'm considering having mine done and what was the cost if you don't mind me asking? What gains have you achieved besides more mpg? Pm me the cost if you wish, many thanks

That is very cheap for a remap and at 31.5 mpg are you sure its not running too lean? So who mapped it at that price and have they got plenty of experiance mapping RRS, many thanks

I'm considering getting my 08 TDV8 remapped but afraid I'm not very technically minded.

Is it worth doing? .... I'm more interested in increased MPG but a bit extra power wouldnt go a miss either !

I'm based in Bromsgrove ... anyone know of a good company in Worc or West Mids ????

Bell auto services Thumbs Up

The +100 lbs of torque is the main advantage, once rolling it's pretty much quicker to every milestone a second or 2 faster.

The advantage to BAS is he posts/emails the map etc to you so location isn't a factor

Plus the interface is able to read and clear fault codes. RRS gone

More than that

£550 odd iirc

But in that price you get to keep the interface... which can be transferred onto your next vehicle (what I did) and the 2nd time the map costs only £100odd.

Or you can sell it on (they fetch £300odd 2nd hand).... and the new owner pays Pete a reduced fee for a re-map.

But to do this the original map must go back on yours.. Rolling Eyes RRS gone

What effect on the Warranty does the BAS Map have?

Sounds interesting.

ANY modification to your car can affect warranty, this includes changing wheels for non standard, modifying the electrical system etc etc.

Any modifications to your car should be done on the understanding that if the dealer in question decides they could void your warranty if detected.

Thumbs Up Pete

Subaru UK are voiding warranty claims if the driver's seat is set in an aggressive position or the tyres show excessive wear with the indicated mileage .. Shocked

One of the reasons I moved away from them.... no customer service at all... RRS gone

I remember going on a subaru track day at donnington prodrive were supposed to turn up with their own cars to do demo's and show off their rally cars for what ever reason they didn't turn up but as you can imagine quite alot of enthusiasts turned up and put their own cars on track unbeknown to them subaru uk had turned up in plain clothes asking what power and modifications had been done to their cars only to take notes down find out which dealer was servicing their motors then sending an e-mail to their dealer and also sending the owner a letter in the post to tell them that their warranty has been void. Big Cry How sneaky is that.

I don't know what experiance they have with RRS so i can't recommend them because ive never used them. Its seems far too cheap to me, i don't like the bit about their warranty Shocked Ady
