Ive just ordered a set of H8 extreme whites for the corner halogens and a set of ice blue H7's for the main beam/flash

Hopefully I'll have a common light hue at the end of all this!

Thanks for your help HIDS4U RRS gone

TBH they are still yellower than I'd have liked so didn't bother posting up a picture.

imho I'd save my money and just upgrade the sidelights to the LED ones, but leave the H8 adaptives alone until a better solution is found.

The Ice white H7's on the main beams are a nice though. RRS gone

I just replaced the yellow W5W bulbs for a super white which now look whiter than the normal bulbs, not main beam just the standard night time lights, dipped beam i think?

I must have blown an indicator bulb in the process, what bulb is that ?. Can i get the silver tipped ones to remove the orange appearance or is that part of the lense?

So the H7 is for "full" beam ?

I get confused with which is which Embarassed

Yes the H7 bulb is the inner bulb on the cluster dedicated to full beam/flash, with the b-xenon providing dip and also main beam (by means of a flap).

The adaptive bulb is an H8 style and looks totally different to the H7 in it's fitment. These are the halogens next to your new LED one.

Not sure what type the indicator bulb is or whether you'd benefit from changing to a chromed tipped one or not sorry. RRS gone

Yes ive changed my orange indicator bulbs to chrome, make sure you get the ones with the pins that are offset, has anyone seen the new led front fog light bulbs you can now get off e-bay?

What bulb type is the front indicator and does using the chrome / silver ones remove the orange effect when the lights are off ?

I got mine from here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Silver-Indicator-Bul...4cec3d02dd
but those listed are for opposite pins which are the wrong fitment for the sport give them a ring before ordering and ask for offset pins, and yes they do remove the orange when not on, but when they flash they still flash orange.

Yes, i think the S8 type is just the size but it has differant types of pins and differant live pins at the bottom of the bulb ie 1 pin or 2 pins if its a double element bulb. Take your old bulb out and have a look before you order then you will know what to order, 2 minute job.

Ive sent the seller from your link an email to ask about offset pins, the ad is for RRS but says opposite pins Confused

If i get them with offset they will work fine and not give me any errors etc? Strange this was, my OSF indicator bulb has gone out but i only knew because the indicator was flashing double fast inside the car.

No you won't get any errors, they are a straight replacement bulb, just a differant coloured glass ie chrome.
