Unreliable ? - dont know what you mean!

Bloody great - the suspension knock is back after 8 months of bliss, the front parking sensors are Censored and needs a new loom and the n/s mirror is now blowing fuses and needs replacing. All in 1 week.

Been into the dealers and just waiting for warranty approval before booking it back in again. This will be the 5th repair in as many months.

Can't see myself hanging onto this motor once the warranty expires in Sept. Frankly its getting to the point where i just can't be arsed with it anymore. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
Ex 2006 RRS SC - garbage
Ex 2016 135i M Sport - dream car
Ex 2003 RS6 Avant - piece of cr*p
Ex 2014 320d X Drive, M Sport Touring - ok I guess
Ex 2007 RRS TDV8 - bloody loved it
EX 2007 FL2 XS - not so bad

well the horror stories on here were scaring me - as good as my car was, I always thought it a question of when not if......and I hd a very slight knocking sound - not bad by any accounts - my radio went and that cost £600 - luckilly it started working again, but I just though if a radio costs £600...what next!!!

Good luck sorting it, but maybe do what I did...I am lucky I went a full year with no warranty.my EGR valves went a month after the end of warranty but LR paid 50%...so maybe a lesson to us all...either extend your warranty....or get rid....

Just make sure you sell in winter and not summer. I am still not quite over it being gone but you need to change car type altogether Bradders as there is nothing out there to compare and replace it.

Maybe look at a good saloon car...S Class Mercedes maybe.....that's a great car....

Funny you should say that. My brother in law has had a faultless XKR for 6 years and second hand they are a bit of a bargain. Just got to squeeze two teenagers in the back! FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I loved every bit of my XJ8. I bought it second hand in 2004 from an old gentleman.
MY 1998. 12 000 miles on the clock when I bought it.
I Kept it until 2010. When I sold it the car had in effect 13 years under its belt.
I had to change one ball bearing as a mere precaution (400 €) and a radiator hose
(300 €) as another precaution. Nothing else.
I sold it to buy my 2010 RRS, running faultless so far since august. 2010 TDV6 3.0 HSE Santorini Black Tan Full Leather

I hope it continues that way. I'd quite like the new RRS but I'm not convinced it would be any more reliable than the TDV8 i've got.

Its a disgrace that £55K later its seems to be pot luck whether you got a good 'un or a pig. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Well, when I bought the XJ8, all my friends told me "you're mad, this is a piece of junk".
In 2009, Jaguar ranked # 1 for reliability in the US, dethroning Lexus.

Touch wood for the RRS.

Yes - and wasn't Land Rover right at the bottom of the reliability table. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

Well, well, look what we've got here : rear brake light stopped functioning.
Spent 1h30' at the dealers. They checked everything, unmounted, unplugged,
replugged, remounted, now it works again. Whistle 2010 TDV6 3.0 HSE Santorini Black Tan Full Leather
