22" wheels, yey or ney?

There are LOTS of RRS's out there with 22's but after searching on here it seems people say its a no no?

Why is this?

I have changed my mind countless times......having just ordered my 2nd RRS I have come to the final conclusion that I will stick with 20s.

It can void your warranty if you go bigger than 22 (or indeed go with non-OEM wheels)

Also the ride is slightly firmer/worse

I've read it is a lot to do with tyres?

I really like the look of the Overfinch Supersport Bow down

Am I right in thinking that some RRS's left the factory with 22's? If so surely it cant void any warranty claims?

ive had 4 sets of 22s on my car, and some have been a nightmare, however, they look much better, and if you get good quality ones, they are fine! i had 3 piece wheels on mine imported from the US, but they didnt work well on UK roads, i recomend Revere wheels, extremly strong, and they do not buckle or the like! look fantastic too! RR Sport supercharged 06

I didn't fancy spunking over £3k on OEM Overfinch wheels!

Which tyres do you have? Have you had any issues with Land Rover?

Toyo Proxes (best tyre, good for 30K plus miles) 285 35 22

22 Stormer Copies...

I've had ot go back in the early days for suspension knocks, albeit minor ones, dealer didn't make an issue and did the work

I went from stock 20" RRS Alloys to 22" Individuals with Toyo Proxies.

Very happy with the results looks-wise & drive/handling, if anything it feels better than before (certainly quieter as the previous tyres, one Hankook aside, were cheapos).

Check this thread for before and after pics: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic20426.html

I went from 19 inch to 22 inch last week. Put atturo AZ800 285/35/22 on it.
Seems a new company who only produces tires for SUV's. Couldn't find any negative reviews yet. but its worth to try it. only 700 euro for a set of tires.

And also Very happy with the results looks-wise & drive/handling. Smile
