Just had the front roll bar bushes sorted I can't believe I let the dealers let the knocking carry on for so long almost 6 months from first reporting it, they almost had me convinced it was normal, bunch of . Also got some new front mats after realising that they had put the wrong year mats in after reading it on here left the the bulletin of the issue on the passenger seat for them to read they said they had never seen it even though it was from 2009. I don't know how some of these bent sleep at night.

The million dollar question is, how long will these bushes last.

But for now enjoying the car again  Now gone Orkney grey SDV6 HSE with body style kit contrast stitch ebony leather, privacy, black piano, 22" Lowenharts for summer, 20" with Leon LTZ for winter.

What was your mileage when you first noticed the knocking?

Think it was about 12000 about six months since, they were adamant it wasn't a knocking from the anti roll bar bushes don't let them fob you of if it is.  Now gone Orkney grey SDV6 HSE with body style kit contrast stitch ebony leather, privacy, black piano, 22" Lowenharts for summer, 20" with Leon LTZ for winter.

Well, My car went into Town & County Aberdeen today and has had the bushes replaced.
What a transformation I think I'd forgotten how bad the car felt because I'd gotten
used to the constant suspension thumping! Driving home from the garage It was just superb, not a
hint of thumping and no feel of crashing suspension through the steering wheel, just smooth quiet
running............ Aaaaaaaaaaaah Bloomin Luxury..... like driving on pillows........

Sorry to say but mine went on 12k and went again 3 months later. Been in to LR twice for knocking and guess what.... it's back again in all its f***ing glory. Now two and a half years old with 40k on the clock. Prepare yourself for years of RRS misery and book your bed in a local loony bin.

I'm getting a knocking sound from the rear - not a bad clunk but something is banging away. Could that be a similar issue?

PS. Also have the dreaded whooshing noise when the suspension goes into access mode................

Ah, I see where you are coming from No, it's not just a weakness of the 2010 model it's a weakness of all RRS's my 2007 one needed them done after about 10k and then the problem never resurfaced. It had about 47k on the clock when I traded it for my 2010 model. The problem started to appear on my 2010 car after about 6 or 7k. Heres hoping it stays fixed for a while at least. aghh didn't realise all the RRS had the same issue

I've been lucky, my D3 only needed the rear bush spacers and the RRS had new front bushes just before I bought it. RRS gone
