STEERING FEELS LOSE

Hello got a 2008 TDV6 S done 40000 , and i have noticed over the past few months that the steering seems to have a bit of play in it ,

For example , if i am driving on a road that is a bit uneven the steering wheel wants to travel in what ever way it is being pulled to ( thus the steering wheel moves from left to right as you go along an uneven road) if that makes sense.

Could it be the bushes have got extra play in them (and need changing) or something needs to be tighten up to erase the extra play.

As i used to have an M5 Touring and that so lite the steering , you could drive over uneven surfaces and take your hands of the wheel and the car would stay tight and striaght.

any clues , it is booked into LR on the 1st , but wanted a heads up first

thanks
