Just got my RRS today and absolutely love it.

I have an iphone, how do I connect this to the RRS to use the hands free system?

Regards,

James

Hi James,
Switch on the Ignition and then the radio.
To pair your iPhone go to (on your iphone) Settings>General>Bluetooth
Make sure blue tooth is switched on and the iPhone will now be searching for Devices.
Land Rover will appear on your iphone display, showing as not connected, to the right will be an arrow. Touch the arrow, you will then be asked for a passcode, type in 2121.
You should now be connected.
Be aware some cars require updates by a Dealer for fuller functionality such as voice command, but in any case basic hands free operation should work.
I hope that helps.
Regards,
Charles Charlesrmh

Isle Of Man 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I wonder if anyone can offer me help - I have just acquired an iPhone 4 and I'm having real trouble pairing it to my 2007 model year Range Rover Sport HSE. Initially, having followed the exact sequence described in the post from Charlesrmh my iPhone did pair with the car, but not on a permanent basis... every time I returned to the vehicle I had to re-enter the four digit code for the Bluetooth. Although the phone had not "forgotten" the car; "Range Rover" still appeared in the Bluetooth list, it did not automatically connect. Unfortunately, things have now gone backwards. The phone is now not detecting the Range Rover at all when it searches for Bluetooth connectivity. I have tried switching the phone off and on again, but with no success. I am aware from other forums that many people seem to be experiencing considerable difficulty with iPhone 4 and the Range Rover Sport, although some postings suggest that collectivity problems have been overcome...not in my case. My iPhone is using the latest software version.

Any suggestions, help or support would be very gratefully received. This is a most irritating problem![/code]

hi kipper

I have a 2005 HSE which would not remember the phone it was paired to when I bought it in 2009. It would need to be re-paired every time you got into the car. I managed to persuade the Land Rover dealer to upgrade the bluetooth module to a reconditioned newer module as the original module clearly did not work with any phone as it was designed to (tried Iphone, crackberry even some ancient nokia's). Since then it works perfectly and I get the address book synced across as well. I updated to the iPhone 4 and this worked perfectly from day 1 Whistle

As you had the same initial symptoms as me I wonder if you might require the newer bluetooth module in the car?

Wiggs on Disco3 forum sells the updated I-phone 4 bluetooth module (exchange price) for circa £130

Sorry to sidetrack this thread a little but looking at the link above it has pictures of the 'phone/'phone book showing on the sat-nav/info screen; is this on MY10 RRS only?

I have the PTI Module and a 'phone connected via the cradle, works fine via steering wheel controls and/or audio unit display but if there's a way of getting it on the larger screen that would be very handy!

It can be unlocked to work as per FFRR (The link of for the FFRR)

BUT

You lose the dimmer function (stays quite dull)

and also the phonebook can get confused (RR/RRS use different locations)

Not 100% as Wiggs has explained RRS gone
