Denmark 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
TDV8 FBH-Webasto modified to Park heater

Hi

I was just told that my TDV8 2007 already has a FBH Webasto installed and it should be possible to modify it to be remote controlled via my mobile phone without to much effort.

That way it should be able to pre-heat the motor and cabin before getting out of the house.

Has anyone ever attemped a modification like this? RRS TDV8 HSE in Stornoway Grey/Alpaca/Rhodium/Multimedia/Privacy Glass

There's an idea Very Happy

Don't mind getting my hands dirty. It's the confidence in cutting the right cables and stripping the car without breaking something.

I installed mine myself and is working great. Very Happy
If you followed the saga on the disco site you will know that there hava been a couple of snags in the installation but we finally figured it out.
I think I will open a new thread in the disco site to get all the info back togheter in one spot.
I'll also open a thread here with the info pertaining to the RRS installation.

Flydive it's knowing how to strip the thing and finding the time to do it.

If someone with the knowledge fancies doing a GB on fitting tho that would be handy Wink

Tomorrow I will dismantle again the console to solve the problem of the FBH shut down, I will take some pictures of the process to post, but after doing it 10 times as I did it becomes pretty easy Wink

One quick tip is do do it in a warm environment, and not outside in temperature between 0 and 5 C as I did, with the cold the plastic becomes a bit brittle, and your fingers and skin too. Very Happy '08 RRS TDV8
