Bet your neighbour will faint when you tell them the price. Probably expecting cost to be £5 like the Eastern Europeans in Tescos... |

Looks excellent, nice job! At the risk of turning this into a detailing thread per se yesterday I spent 3 hours washing and waxing my RRS - pics here for those interested - http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic20426.html

This is the stuff I applied; http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/sealants/car...d_358.html The first cleans and preps the paintwork for the sealant. After applying that, the surface was really smooth. Its easy to apply and rubs off easy enough. The second coat is the sealant which is just as eay to apply (I used a microfibre covered sponge) but it is a pig to remove once its hardened. The tip is to apply it as thinly as possible and then spary the surface with a mist of water as you rub it off. The result apparently is a thin layer of acrylic sealant which is good for up to a year. Seems quite a claim but I'll let you know. Also it can be topped up with a spray sealant when you wash from the same manufacturer. Seems to get good reviews. You could apply a wax over that if you really wanted to but I dont think its necessary. Thanks bradders, typical though; I ordered stuff off that website only yesterday! Might call them to see if I can add these to the order.

You're right - that's the correct order of things. I'd give them a call and see if they can change your order - I've found they are pretty good at Clean your Car. Also as you've already got the wax I'd whack that on top of the sealant too!
