Hi my 2.7HSE MY07 has now devloped a droning noise[i think thats how you spell it] on the vehicle when its idleing it seems to be coming from the middle of the engine underneath.I have checked all the front pulleys and the viscous fan and there doesn t seem a problem there.It s o.k when its been driven[no noise] but i want to make sure its nothing serious to put my mind at rest.Thanks. 2007 HSE in black with 22 inch id ones with privacy glass.

I have it too on my TDV8 but I have a suspicion its my clamped on exhaust tips that might have come a bit loose (because of the cold weather) and therefore resonate at or near idle. Yet to verify it as I'm hoping as the weather warms up it tightens again anyway.

think related to the suspension. When it was near -13c it started for me. I was able to replicate by raising and lowering suspension while stationary. Once the weather warmed up, it disappeared. Suspect that some seal or mechanism contracts in the ultra-cold.

It has been to have a service this week and the brake recall part fitted,asked them to have a listen to it and its o.k. they have said.Funny it wasnt there when i bought it,so will have to investigate further. 2007 HSE in black with 22 inch id ones with privacy glass.

I just drove through somebodys drive last night and as i appraoched the gates it sounded like something was blowing,also i have a screech when i put my foot down there is also patches of oil on the drive they seem to be from the front of the engine.Any ideas please ive done a search and it seems it either intercooler or pipes. 2007 HSE in black with 22 inch id ones with privacy glass.

Turned out to be the front diff!! Malaysia Boleh!

Mine does this as well, has started to do it after I got the car back after getting the suspension fixed for the dreaded knocking. Only does it when at idle in drive with the brakes on, as soon as the brakes are released it stops.

I have looked at the hose on the bottom of the intercooler and there was oil seeping out so i pushed the hose on and tightened the clamp,[still there] i think there is a leak from the exhaust at the back of the turbo,i will let you know my findings. 2007 HSE in black with 22 inch id ones with privacy glass.
